FAQs

My Wedding Stationery House Collections use a Pick N Mix method, meaning you can order just the basics or add all the extra embellishments you like, such as stickers, envelope liners and much more. So you have the option to make the House Collection pieces your own and to fit your budget! You can find out more about whats available, along with a full price list on my website... https://www.designbyemily.co.uk

Save the dates are personal preference and are very dependent on your budget or when and where your wedding is taking place. If you’re getting married abroad, at a busy time of year such as Christmas, Easter or during the school holidays, or have lots of family abroad that will need to travel, save the dates might be a good idea so people know to save the date… (duh) and can plan accordingly. Also a lot of people appreciate the advance notice so they can think about travel, accommodation options and even child care! If your trying to save your budget, why not skip save the dates and go straight for invites and maybe send them out a little earlier. You can even pour your save the date budget into your invitations to make something extra special, maybe go for a bespoke design, or you could add some Extras & Add-ons to your template design in the form of envelope liners, stickers ad much more! Save the dates should be sent out about 18 months to a year before the wedding. If your time frame is less than a year, I’d recommend skipping the save the dates and going straight for the invitations to save time! You could even send a nice email or text out to some people who would need advance warning, which helps save the planet and the budget!

I've written a whole blog post on what to include in you invites and RSVPs, you can read it here... https://www.designbyemily.co.uk/blog/wedding-stationery-wording-tips

Of course! Samples are available to purchase from my website shop... https://www.designbyemily.co.uk/samples

Yes! I love getting Bespoke design orders! You can find more about my Bespoke Design Service here... https://www.designbyemily.co.uk/bespoke

The minimum order for all my House Collection designs is 25 pieces. Bespoke orders are separated in to design and printing costs, so you can order as many so as few as you like. With professional printing, its always cheaper per items with the more you print.

With both save the dates and invitations it’s always best to let your guests know sooner rather than later. This way everyone has plenty of time to save money, book hotels and secure time off work etc. Save The Dates - I would say it’s never too early to send save the dates out. Once you have your date secured you can look at getting your save the dates posted. They can be sent any time from 2 years to 6 months before your big day. The most common timeframe is about 1 year before. Invitations - You should look to send out your invitations about 4-6 months before your wedding. Maybe earlier if your wedding is abroad!

Save The Dates & Invitations - To book your stationery in, you should get in touch at least 3 months before you want to send out your save the dates or invitations. Especially if you want a bespoke design. On The Day - This should be ordered about 8 weeks before your wedding day. Final drafts won’t need signing off until 3-4 weeks before your big day, so any last minute changes to seating plans etc. can be accounted for. Just remember, as soon as you’re booked into my design diary and a deposit is paid, your slot is secured! I only take on so many projects per month, so slots can get booked up quickly, especially in peak wedding season. You can always book your slot well in advance, even if you haven’t got all the details finalised.

I don't send anything to print until you have completely signed everything off, so we can make changes all the way up to printing! All House Collection designs include 3 free rounds of amends and digital PDF proofs, so we have lots of changes to make tweaks before printing.
