I’ll start by saying that I have always considered myself to be an artist and have always used art as a creative outlet. Growing up, I painted and sketched a lot. I also tried my hand at portraits, however I am much better at photographing people than I am drawing them! I have always had a fascination with color and light, as well as an eye for detail.

It wasn’t until I purchased my first DSLR camera that my true passion for photography was ignited. I constantly strive to capture the world the way my mind’s eye sees it. I am passionate about translating life’s details into photos–from the biggest events, right down to the smallest of details of life.

In terms of my style of shooting, I lean mostly towards photojournalism. In other words, I see true photographic beauty revealed in moments as they occur naturally. While I do definitely make sure to cover traditional poses, I also always try to put a strong emphasis on pure emotion and spontaneity. It is during the most candid of moments after all, that the true essence of the moment is captured. That said, I think my style offers the best of both worlds.
