Frequently asked questions
How much should I budget for my wedding flowers?
This depends purely on whether you love flowers or not. The general rule is 10% of your overall budget on flowers but if you love them spend more and if your not a flowery person then spend less.
Do you offer consultations?
Yes, by appointment only
Will you create a mock-up bouquet for me?
I do offer this service however the cost will be added to your invoice.
Can I choose my exact wedding flowers?
To a point yes. We will talk through your options and I will make a note of anything specific you require. However flowers are a natural product and as such weather and growing conditions can alter availability and occasionally unavailable. If this happens I will order the closest variety available and notify you as soon as I can. Nothing is guaranteed.
How far in advance should I book my wedding florist?
Depending on time of year and date. If you want a popular summer Saturday I can be booked 2 years plus in advance, other times, say a Wednesday in November would probably be available with a month to go.
How far do you travel?
I can travel anywhere in the UK, I have created wedding flowers in Cornwall. My main area is around an hour travel time from me. Grimsby, Lincoln, Nottingham, Leeds, York
Do you deliver bouquets and buttonholes to the bridal party?
Yes, always. I love to see you on the day. The excitement of you getting ready and the flowers arriving make the day 'real' for so many brides. You will be shown all the bouquets and I like to know you are happy with them before I leave.
Can you decorate the church or ceremony room?
Yes, I will talk to any venue and discuss on the day set up with them.
Do you hire out extras such as vases, milk churns or tree slices?
Yes, I have a stock room full of all sorts of vases, slices, jugs etc.

Working in a Lincoln High Street flower shop with my dad we starting creating wedding flowers amongst the many gift & funeral designs of a busy shop. Over the years the amount of weddings we styled grew, igniting my passion for this part of the business. When dad decided to retire I looked into the possibility of growing this part of the business & specialising in this stunning world of wedding flowers…The Studio was created in 2013. Since then my passion for creating & styling designs for my wedding couples has grown into the business it is today & I love to create amazing wedding flowers for Lincoln & Gainsborough based weddings. I can travel further afield too!
Based in a studio in rural Lincolnshire I am able to dedicate time to your flowers & styling as I am not open to the general public. Consultations can be held here at The Studio or at your chosen venue. We will chat through all your design elements, colour scheme & likes & dislikes. At this stage I will ask about being respectful of any budget, please be honest, I can help you maximise your flowers and displays. Once all ideas are talked through you will receive an itemised quote by email. (or proposal if a few ideas are required). My T&C's are sent too along with details of the booking fee.
Once booked you may amend your flowers as the planning progresses and have another consult to finalise the finer details at 1-2 months to go. All flowers will be delivered on the morning and any hired collected the next day.
