FAQs

The professional toastmaster is a traditional part of any special occasion or historically, public speaking event. With style and professionalism, the toastmasters organising expertise will ensure that a wedding - however informal - fulfils the highest expectations of the bride and the bridegroom and ultimately takes the pressure off them. Your toastmaster will not only liaise with every supplier, the wedding venue and their staff, they'll also take care of every detail as requested on the day. More importantly they'll greet your guests as they arrive, show them key places in the venue they may wish to use, announce dinner, direct them to be received by the bride and bridegroom, announce you into the wedding breakfast and organise and correctly introduce speakers at the correct moments of the day,

Yes, all weddings are welcome

It is not crucial to meet before the wedding, but often, where possible, very advantageous. It can be the opportunity to meet and walk the venue to ensure that it is practical regarding space and numbers. Very occasionally I have noticed that two activities have been planned for the same space at the same time. It is also a time to discuss the alternatives to outside activities if it rains etc.

They start at £300. Be very wary of those who are too cheap.

I have taken bookings with just 2 weeks to go and on one occasion with just two days. For your own peace of mind, I would normally recommend between six and nine months or more to secure the toastmaster you want. However, if you see that I already have a booking for your date, fear not. As a “Fellow of the Guild of International Professional Toastmasters” I can always call on the services of of my colleagues to stand in.
