Hi, I'm Gerri Professional, calm and passionate about creating your perfect day and making it one to remember. Holding your hand each step along the way. No two couples are the same. I will work very closely with you to ensure that your thoughts and wishes are incorporated into the ceremony. I will assist with research for vows, poems and readings and make suggestions to assist. We will go through a draft of your ceremony to make sure it contains all we have spoken about. You can make additions, amendments or alterations. Once the draft has been approved by you both, we are ready for your day.
A humanist celebrant have no religious beliefs and so do not include any religion. An independent celebrant has more freedom: they are able to include what the couple want in the ceremony
Yes you can and I am available to assist should you wish. I can make suggestions and offer any advice you may need. We will work closely together to ensure it is perfect for you and what you want.
I would recommend you book me as far in advance as possible. Once a retainer/booking has been paid, that date is secure in my diary. I only undertake one ceremony a day. This is to ensure that there is no rush and if there is a delay, this would not be a problem. Couples trend to book quite a bit in advance now to make sure they have the date of their choice and that they can also choose the celebrant that suits them best.
My price for a Short and Sweet package is £500
In the UK, Local Registrars are bound by their legal format and there are limitations to the content of the service they can provide. They have set times, set locations and restrictions on what they can and cannot say or do. It is more than likely you will also not know the person delivering the most important words to you as a couple either. A Celebrant will also personalise your ceremony to suit your style and you will get to know your Celebrant over the course of planning your wedding so you have a personal, meaningful connection for the most important day of your life. Your Celebrant will create a unique ceremony from scratch, one that truly reflects you as a couple. It can be light hearted, humorous, formal or simple and will perfectly suit you as a couple.
I would recommend that the story of how you both met, fell in love and the proposal are included. This give a very personal touch and there may be some guests who do not know all of this. Vows or promises, Announcement, The Kiss and certificate signing should be included. These flow very nicely into each other and normally the ceremony is finished off with closing words. All these pieces can be as short as you like if you feel you do not wish the ceremony to go on for too long. After all it is your ceremony.
