Add or Edit a Wedding Fair listing
If you are hosting a Wedding Fair, Open Day or other similar event you can ensure it is a success by attracting quality exhibitors and plenty of couples. Over 13,000 couples search the Guides for Brides Wedding Fair Diary every month so it is the most effective way to reach large numbers.
Here’s how to Add or Edit a listing:
How do I add a Wedding Fair?
Step 1 – Add a listing or edit an old one
If you don’t yet have an account with Guides for Brides, please register here first.
Log in to your Guides for Brides account to get to your business dashboard.
Click ‘Add a new wedding fair’. It’s the last option on the left-hand list.
If you have listed an event at this venue previously, just edit the date on the previous listing rather than starting again.
Step 2 – The Details
Follow the prompts to add the location (if the venue is not listed on Guides for Brides, you can add it), the event date and time, and the basic organiser contact details.
Include as many details as you can.
Step 3 – The Description, Exhibitors and Images
Add a description of 250 – 2000 characters to tell couples why they should attend and what they can expect from the event.
Adding exhibitors to promote your event to a much wider audience. Your Fair will be shown on every exhibitor’s listing on Guides for Brides.
Add an image of a previous event or the venue to make the listing more eye-catching.
Step 4 – Promote your Fair
To make your event stand out and make it a success on the day, we have a number of options available.
- Star Listing – Top of the page with all the added features to ensure your event is a success. This is how we advertise our own Fairs and it works! (£200 +vat).
- Featured Listing – Professional features to make your event stand out from the crowd, plus all the relevant contact details for enquiries before the event (£50 +vat).
- Standard Listing – Include your contact details so couples and exhibitors can contact you about the Fair (£25 +vat).
Select the option that would promote your Fair in the most professional way and we’ll send your invoice by email.
If you have pre-paid and have a promo code, choose your advert type and enter the code.
Our account managers are on hand to assist clients with Featured and Star listings to set up and edit their adverts if required, to maximise their results.
Skip this stage if you just want the free listing, but remember, we can’t then help you make changes to your listing or promote your event on our social media.
Editing your Event Listing
Log in to your account and select the event using the drop-down box located at the top, middle of your business hub. There should be an eye button to ‘View Event’ or ‘View Advert’.
Then use the left hand side menu to select options to edit text, contact information, images, date, timings and more. If you have upgraded your listing you’ll have all the extra options.
Remember to save changes as you go.
Why you can’t delete an event.
As soon as a new Fair is added, couples can opt to receive a reminder so we need to let them know that your plans have changed.
If you are postponing, simply change the date.
If you are cancelling completely, write “CANCELLED” in your event description.

COVID Security and Track and Trace for Wedding Fairs
Your event will need to be COVID secure which involves ensuring risk assessments have been completed. As an event organiser you can get free Wedding Safe accreditation.
Your track and trace and any Covid status records must be GDPR compliant so sign up for Trusted Trace online or through your business hub.
