Wedding Fair Live and the venue focused event, Live Venue Showcase, have been incredibly popular and successful for both businesses and couples. We have now hosted two events focused on Wedding Venues which have resulted in some fantastic feedback from those involved and those who watched. This case study will focus on the results of Applewood Hall in Norfolk.
Kiera from Applewood took the viewer on a grand tour of the venue, showcasing the gardens and the venue itself. She describes the attributes of the venue in great detail adding personal experiences and focusing on the history of it being a family run business.
The prep work
Kiera was really prepared for the talk, she shared a number of social promotions on the run-up to the live video and also shared the video onto Applewood Hall’s Facebook page, maximising the reach and providing an opportunity for conversion for those already considering the venue.
The venue was also set up to look it’s best for the tour given the circumstances and it was clear that Kiera and her team had really made an effort to ensure brides and grooms could see the venue in the best light.

Things that went really well:
There were lots of features of Kiera's discussion that went brilliantly, but here are a five key things that were particularly good to take note of.
- Kiera actively answered questions while live and then followed up by answering them in the comments as Applewood Hall
- Kiera started the tour in the garden and discussed all the fabulous features of Applewood Hall right at the beginning as the viewers were coming in. This included venue capacity, experience, accessibility, family-friendly and unique features.
- She was calm and collected on camera with a friendly manner and spoke very naturally.
- Kiera encouraged interactions throughout the video and repeated the unique and key selling points of the venue.
- The talk was very well planned out but felt natural due to Kiera's mannerisms and conversational tone.
The results
Kiera’s video resulted in over 2000 views in less than 24 hours. Applewood Hall’s video received 12 shares and 21 comments which is phenomenal for a single day period.
