Some may say it’s crazy, but getting married in Las Vegas is the perfect choice for a truly unique big day. We recently visited the City of Lights on a honeymoon review trip and realised what a fab place Vegas would be for a luxurious and affordable wedding. Check out our top reasons why we love the idea of a Vegas wedding…
The Vegas Atmosphere
The fun, crazy and unique atmosphere will guarantee you so much more than just a wedding – it will help create an experience like no other. Dubbed as Sin City and the City of Lights, Vegas certainly lives up to its nicknames. The backdrop is a magical spectacle both day and night and with its party atmosphere, the city is a great place to celebrate your nuptials after the big day is over.
Affordable Stress Free Luxury
Getting married in Vegas can help relieve you of some of the typical wedding planning stresses. While the flight may be costly, wedding packages in the most luxurious of Vegas hotels can be found at very reasonable prices. Most of the hotels have in-house photographers, florists and caterers which means that your key wedding suppliers are included in your wedding package. There are no hidden costs or additional expenses. It is also easy to sort your wedding license; most hotels offer a complimentary personal wedding planner who can organise the license for you.
Sun, Sun, Sun
Unfortunately, getting married in the UK comes with the “British weather” side effect. It could be sunny one day and pouring with rain the next. Even if you’ve booked an August wedding, you could be faced with unexpected flash flooding. However, located in the middle of the desert, Vegas has a hot sunny climate all year round so you can rest assure that your wedding will be blessed with sunshine.
Classy and Spontaneous
If you want to get married at short notice, then Las Vegas is definitely the place to do so. The more quirky “spontaneous” weddings take place with Elvis or in the Little White Chapel, however there are also many sophisticated and traditional options which can take place at short notice. Many of the big hotels offer spontaneous ceremonies with all the trimmings of a traditional wedding. Whilst we were in Vegas, we stayed at The Venetian who can organise weddings with only 4 hours notice.
Honeymoon in Vegas
Wake up the morning after your wedding already on your honeymoon – in Vegas! What better place to relax and have some fun than the famous Sin City. Whether you want a honeymoon jam packed with fun activities or you just want to relax around the pool and soak up the quirky atmosphere, there is something to keep everyone entertained.
