Santorini
One thing's for sure if you choose to honeymoon on the Greek island of Santorini - you're guaranteed some of the most beautiful views (and honeymoon photos!) in all of Europe. Set over the iconic caldera, Santorini is an island of whitewashed villas, infinity pools, stylish restaurants and stunning sea views. Of all the Greek islands it commands top dollar, but in our opinion, it's worth splashing out for a Santorini honeymoon.

Italy
If you're looking for a short-haul honeymoon, then Italy has plenty of amazing romantic options to choose from. For city breaks, there's a huge variety of picturesque destinations, including lively capital city Rome, beautiful Florence, fashionable Milan and historical Venice. If you can't choose, you could even fit in a tour of Italian cities. For a more relaxing beach break, you could visit the Amalfi Coast or the island of Sicily. Wherever you go, we guarantee the food will be good!

The Maldives
It's a honeymoon classic for a reason! The Maldives offers a quintessential honeymoon paradise of white sand beaches, clear blue seas and romantic luxury hotels. With some of the best coral reefs in the world, the Maldives is the perfect option if you're a fan of snorkelling and watersports, and you're guaranteed a peaceful break if you escape to one of the 1000s of islands available to tourists. If you want to combine with a destination wedding, then we thoroughly recommend the nearby Sri Lanka.

Thailand
With its lush tropical jungles, incredible temple architecture, buzzing cities and some of the world's most beautiful beaches, Thailand is a fantastic option for newlyweds torn between a beach and city honeymoon. Why not try island hopping to get the best experience of culture, food and party lifestyle at some of the best Thai destinations (including the famous Koh Samui)? For a city honeymoon, you can't beat Bangkok for great food and fun.

Bali
Another classic honeymoon destination is Bali and the islands of Indonesia. It's not hard to see why, thanks to the days of sunshine, vibrant arts and culture scene, fabulous beaches and sheer volume of islands to pick from. Bali is definitely our top pick, as the hotels are among some of most welcoming and luxurious (plus there are some amazing surfing opportunities for water-loving newlyweds!), but island hopping would be a great adventure honeymoon.

Crete
Crete is another gorgeous Greek option for couples wanting a short-haul honeymoon. The island offers plenty of romantic destinations, such as coastal Elounda and historical Heraklion. We love Elounda in particular for its flawless beaches and luxury resorts. Plus, Crete is very welcoming to the LGBTQ+ community, which makes it an ideal option for same-sex honeymoons.
