A Seaside Wedding
With many people choosing to get married on a beach abroad, the British seaside often gets ignored as a fantastic wedding location. As well as being an easier alternative, it can also prove every bit as charming as it’s more exotic counterparts.
Many beaches in the UK now offer themselves as locations for wedding ceremonies, with the vows taking place in vintage beach huts, as well as providing you with a beautiful backdrop for your wedding photos.
A big advantage to staying at home is that seaside locations will have plenty of hotels and restaurants to accomodate your guests. This will enable your guests to find accommodation to suit all budgets and even stay a few extra days to make a break of it.
To continue with the seaside theme, why not and serve your guests with local traditional food such as Cornish Pasties or Fish and Chips? You could also hire an ice cream van to treat family and friends to a classic Flake 99.
You can also bring a touch of the sea inside your venue through your decorations, with retro life rings, rope and bunting adding nautical charm. Play around with seashells in your table arrangements, while navy and white striped tables cloths are always an easy way to transfer your theme to the dining room, particularly when combined with powder blue.
With a unique twist on the original chocolate favour, present your guests with these quirky chocolate fish and chips or small buckets filled with sweets.
