Fitted bodice
Pippa Middleton's bridal silhouette benefited from a full, classic a-line skirt, cinched in at the waist by a structured lace bodice. Giles Deacon spoke of this corseted bodice which featured gorgeous hand embroidery, rich with peal detailing. The skirt led on beautifully from the bodice, made up from draped, appliquéd silk cotton lace. If you're looking to sweep down the aisle, we couldn't recommend this ballroom-ready style enough!Â
Open Back
Pippa chose to show a little skin, following on from the bridal trend to show a little back. This works wonders with lace, giving a lovely skin-to-fabric contrast with an elegant finish. Pippa proved that you don't have to go crazy with an open-back wedding dress - just a keyhole opening can prove entirely gorgeous!Â
High Neck
It's no secret that a high neck traditionally sings of demure modesty, something which Pippa put an almost oriental spin on. Her Giles Deacon bridal gown combined a delicate lace high neckline with dainty cap-sleeves, forming the perfect cover-up.Â
Fern Tiara
Pippa's Maidenhair fern tiara reminded us of Gossip Girl's Blair Waldorf at her society best: Worn beneath a tulle veil, this glinting detail made the bride truly shine. The Middleton family commissioned jeweller Robinson Pelham to put together this little crowning glory, however, we'd point to bridal hair pieces inspired by leaves in silver and gold to recreate the family jewels!Â

Pippa followed in the footsteps of big sister Kate Middleton with her choice of a cathedral veil in tulle, ready for the church. Entirely ethereal, Pippa's veil covered her face and trailed behind in fairytale ending fashion - this gives us every reason to opt for a veil on our own big day!Â
Tiny Pearl Detailing
If you looked closely, Pippa's veil, designed and made by famed milliner Stephen Jones, featured a scattering of tiny hand-sewn pearls. Here, the use of dotted pearls created a uniquely bespoke touch, yet another way to truly feel like a princess.Â
White Satin PumpsÂ
When it comes to choosing your shoes, for a white wedding, you can't go wrong with ivory satin pumps! Pippa's came from coveted footwear designer Manolo Blahnik, who worked in more pearl detailing in a fabulous customisation effort.Â
Hair UpÂ
Finish off the look by wearing your hair up: The perfect occasion style for a traditional wedding day. Also fantastic if you're about to hop into an open-top vintage convertible to avoid any windswept moments, just like Pippa and James as they sped off to their reception!
