Engagement season is upon us… but how can you make sure that everyone knows about your big news? Here are the top engagement announcement trends for 2018 that’s sure to get you noticed!

2018 Engagement Announcement Trends

1. Taking an Instagram worthy pic

We have a few ideas to make sure this photo really pops! Whether there’s someone lurking in the bushes taking a photo of the special moment or you organise a professional shoot for after the big question, be sure to get an Instagram worthy shot.

Spell it out… a popular choice is holding a sign to the camera alluding to the new engagement, why not try “she said yes” or “how does my new ring look?”.

Our fave: try scrabble pieces!

Take your “mug shot”… what a great way to be sure to show off that new sparkler whilst holding a steaming cup of tea in these cold winter months. Why not treat yourself and buy a “bride to be” mug for the occasion!

Say it with pets… another firm favourite is getting your other loyal companions involved, this is sure to have the likes pile in!

Last up is to have the ring centre stage, the focus has got to be on that sparkler!

2. Newspaper announcement

Social media or putting a message in the Whatsapp group is a super easy way to make sure your nearest and dearest know about your news. However, popping an announcement in the newspaper is a time honoured tradition and it is a sure fire way to make sure everybody knows about it. Tom Daley announced his engagement this way back in 2016 and more celebs are following suit - just look at Game of Thrones stars Kit Harington and Rose Leslie!

3. Wear your announcement

The products on offer are endless so why not wear your engagement? These can also feature in your social media pics!

4. Pop it in the post

This one seems a bit simple but there are great ways to make this fun and exciting! A great way to put your save the date out there nice and early too.

5. Party time!

As if you needed an excuse… throwing a party to celebrate the engagement can be a lovely way to share your news with your closest friends and family. Why don’t you wait until the party to announce your big news? Imagine seeing all their reactions in person!

These trends for 2018 are the stylish ways to announce your big news, which one will you choose?
