About Tales Told on Film

Every film is a story. You might be capturing a significant moment, communicating an important idea, or simply showing the world who you really are - nothing does this quite like film. I have been making films for over twenty years now and have been lucky enough to have worked with some incredible individuals, as well as leading brands. I have honed a style that is intimate and honest. I shoot and edit everything myself - nothing is ever farmed out to a third party.

When I first started shooting weddings, I offered three tiers. Because that’s what you did. And, inevitably, everybody went with the middle package. But that never sat well with me. I want to make great films: I'm not going to stop filming half way through your first dance because your allotted hours have run out. And if you pay for a two-camera package, I'm still going to bring three, because there might just be an amazing third angle.
Instead, I work with you to make the best film possible.
You’ve got me for the whole of your wedding day. How you choose to use me is entirely up to you - although I can give you an idea of what tends to work well.
I then work on your film for as long as it takes to make it as good as it can be. This could be anything from two weeks to three months.
I usually create two edits - a short social-friendly edit, and a longer edit with more of the ceremony and speeches.
Ten years ago I began recording interviews with couples as a means of making my films a more intimate reflection of their relationship. Conducted either in the weeks leading up to the wedding, or shortly after the honeymoon, these interviews have now become an integral part of my work.
But, of course, all of this can be tailored to your precise needs.
