Roxburghe Hotel and Golf Course is set on the beautiful Scottish borders. With a range of sporting pursuits, alongside their championship golf course - the hotel offers lots to do in a prime location and boasts a Roux Restaurant and spa for when the days activities are over. An hour's drive from both Newcastle and Edinburgh, the hotel is a well connected wedding venue. The hotel is heavily influenced by its owners, the Duke and Duchess of Roxburghe - from fine wines, paintings and furnishings, the family have stamped the hotel with their personal touch, giving guests the feeling that they are staying in a stately home.
The Ceremony
Whether you're looking for an indoor or outdoor ceremony, there are various options to choose from. The conservatory is a stunning area for an indoor romantic ceremony with panoramic views of the garden. Or, for summer weddings, exchange your vows outside overlooking the fantastic house and gardens, on the patio, under an ancient tree or beside one of the lakes.
The Reception
With its stately home ambiance and period charm, Roxburghe is perfectly suited for weddings of any size, and the hotel offers numerous options including exclusive use and marquee receptions.
 Accommodation
All 22 bedrooms at Roxburghe are uniquely decorated with their own antique furnishings. The rooms are traditional and luxurious, and we particularly liked the personal touch of a "do not disturb" bear in each room. Most rooms are within the main house, with some courtyard bedrooms adjacent to the main building and the spa.
Spa
A haven for tranquility, the Spa is situated in the hotel's courtyard and offers a range of treatments. From manicures and pedicures to massages and body therapies, including Chocolate massage and Lava Shell massage, there is a good choice of treatments to enjoy. We enjoyed a couple of relaxing hours with top to toe pampering; steam room, massage, facial and manicure - perfect for pre-wedding or a romantic break. The team at the spa are happy to look after the bridal party in their rooms on the wedding day offering them hair, make up and manicures in comfort and privacy.
Activities
The area around Roxburghe is well known for its country pursuits; from clay pigeon shooting and salmon fishing to golfing and hiking.
