A short drive East of Edinburgh with stunning views across Muirfield Championship golf course to the Firth of Forth, Greywalls Hotel was originally built as a summer house. The drive takes you up to an impressive sweeping facade, behind which, the house retains all the charm and personal touches of a family's country retreat; wedding and school photos in the cloakrooms, each with a little caption and photos of the many golfing legends who have stayed or celebrated there whilst competing at Muirfield. With family antiques at every turn and a Steinway piano in the drawing room, Greywalls is a home from home.

The Reception\nThere are numerous choices at Greywalls for your reception, offering formal and more relaxed dining options. The Roux-managed Dining Room seats 50 guests, and looks out across Muirfield Golf Course to the Firth of Forth.  The smaller Garden Room offers a more intimate setting for 30 guests overlooking the gardens.  On the day we visited, a marquee was being erected in the walled gardens with a covered walkway from the house into the marquee.\nThe beautiful walled gardens are the perfect place for a post-wedding stroll. With a croquet lawn and putting green in the Summer months, you can make sure your guests are kept entertained.\n

Rich in Edwardian style, the hotel strikes a balance between antique furnishings and modern chic facilities. Most of the bedrooms are central to the hotel, with additional cottage accommodation within the hotel's grounds.\n
