About Arco String Quartet
Vibrant string quartet playing pop covers, jazz, film/TV themes and popular classical music to make your day extra special for you and your guests. We provide music for wedding ceremonies, during drinks receptions and at wedding breakfasts.
Arco is a vibrant, award-winning professional string quartet based in Newcastle upon Tyne, comprising two violins, viola and cello.
We provide live music for weddings, parties, and all other occasions where music can help to create the perfect atmosphere. We play at events across the North East including Durham, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, and Teesside.
For your wedding we can provide live music
- as your guests arrive to create a special and relaxed atmosphere
- for the bride's entrance
- while you sign the register
- for the exit
- after the ceremony to provide background music for you and your guests during canapés, drinks and photos
- during your wedding breakfast
We have a large selection of music from traditional classical through to jazz, pop and film/TV themes. Some of our most popular are Canon in D (Pachelbel), A Thousand Years (Christina Perri) and Can't Help Falling in Love With You (Elvis). We always tailor our choice of music to suit your individual event - if your special tune isn't already on our playlist we can usually arrange it for you at no extra cost.

We play live string versions of people's favourite songs. This includes pop music, film and TV covers, jazz, Bollywood, and popular classical music.
We play for weddings and events right across the North East of England including Northumberland, Co. Durham, Tyne and Wear, and Teesside. We sometimes travel further afield too.
Prices start from £240 for the string duo (two musicians) or £390 for the string quartet (four musicians).
It takes us around 30 minutes to set up. We play acoustically so we don't need any speakers, amplifiers, or other specialist equipment.
