Hawkwell House Hotel

I held my wedding reception at Hawkwell House on the 17th December 2010. Firstly I must point out that Gary is an excellent wedding co ordinator and was on hand all day taking care of things for us. Gary also responded very quickly to all my email enquiries prior to the wedding.Hawkwell House is a lovely place and the food was brilliant (I had a number of people tell me it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding). Just a couple of things that dissapointed me were that although I asked for my wedding cake to be cut up and put out for the evening reception - the next day i found the left over cake (there was a lot of it!) had been chucked away. I didnt ask but assumed that the cake would be put back in its box to take away. Also, I left a pair of gold and pearl earrings in the honeymoon suite by mistake which the cleaner later claimed she could not find. I am dubious about this as I knew exactly where the earrings were left and informed the hotel of this within 20 minutes of leaving, Unfortunately, I couldnt go back due to severe snow)and am now without my earrings.

On the whole I had a wonderful day and Hawkwell House is an extremely competitively priced reception venue in my opinion.
