An ancient coaching inn, the White Horse is mentioned in Chaucer's Canterbury Tales.

Set in the heart of the Garden of England and surrounded by orchards and hop gardens, the pub has a long tradition of warm and friendly hospitality. (Although this view may not have been shared by the 19th century rioters sentenced to death in the pub when it was used as a courtroom.)

In its new role, the White Horse's reputation has been enhanced by the Mulberry Inns' unique combination of a traditional pub with a contemporary twist, which provides value-for-money, restaurant-quality food in a stylish setting.
