We met Alan & his wife at a wedding fair in Basingstoke & love the display. We asked Alan to do the photographs for our wedding on 03rd October 2009. We had a couple of meetings with Alan before hand so that he could get a better idea of what we were after. Alan helped make it a wonderful day for us as he is experienced & helped us organize things for getting the right photos to remember our special day by. From our first meeting with Alan when he came to our show us his work, we instantly took a like to his his friendly and professional manor. There was no hard sell. We decided to use Alan after meeting four other local photograhers. He was not the cheapest, and not the most expensive. The quality of his album choices and photography shone through. Alan visited us again at our house before the wedding to talk through what we wanted. On the day he was superb. It was very relaxed and not at all regimented like wedding photography can get. After the day we had plenty of time and attempts to get the final selection of photos we wanted for our album. A real plus was a coffee table book we got for free of all the photos. Our parents liked it so much they both bought one. In summary, if you choose Alan, you will not be disappointed. He is highly recommended.

We had been lucky enough to win a competition run by our local radio station Kestrel FM to have a dream wedding paid for by Oakley Hall, and when Alan heard of this, he was also kind enough to offer discounted prices on his packages in line with the competition.

He has been very supportive in the planning and listened to the style of photography that we preferred and took control on the day, ensuring every moment was captured. His attitude and approach to work was very calming on what can be such a nerving, anxious time.

We are more than happy with the results, which were available very quickly after the wedding, All the family are impressed too!

Alan Bowman was first class. We decided to get married on New Years Eve, and we had been messed about a bit by previous Photographers. Time was running short for us, when we found Alan. Firstly, we consider ourselves very fortunate and lucky to have found him free on that day. But to then discover how well organised and professional he was, was simply the icing on the cake. He came along to the Wedding Rehearsal, familiarised himself with the key people and the church. He was excellent at adding his influence to our day. His Professional service really assisted how the day managed to glue together in a really fluent way. We arrived back in the UK after our Honeymoon, desperate to see a record of our day, as it all did pass quite quickly. We were then very very pleased with the final product. The photographs were well lit, balanced, sharp, yet there was very little intrusion. To add, he worked in such a way that he didn’t have to use his flashgun in the Church, and the results were excellent. As we were so wrapped up in the happiness of our day, we just went with the flow of events - we think that probably made Alan's job easier for him, but he really was brilliant. After trying several photographers, we found that Alan's portfolio showed a good range of colour and black & white photography, telling a story of the day rather than just all being staged photos. He made us feel relaxed and at ease throughout the day, having taken time beforehand to discuss exactly what photos we wanted plus how and when they would be taken. The results were fantastic and the album looks stunning, giving us perfect memories of the day that we couldn't wait to show everyone. I would definitey recommend Alan to anyone getting married.

We found Alan through the Yellow Pages and when we rang him, he was friendly and accomodating and came to visit us at our home. By looking through his portfolio we could see that he was fantastic at taking a mixture of formal and informal photographs, plus colour or black and white - just what we wanted. We agreed that his prices were competitive and that we would get real value for money if we went with him. I could also tell that unlike other photographers I have seen at friend's weddings, he wouldn't be bossy or overpowering or OTT which was really important to us. We met again with him just before the wedding and he helped us imagine the day and talked through what photos we wanted. On the big day, Alan turned up in plenty of time and got some lovely detail photos, as well as us girls getting ready! The rest of the day went by in a blur, but I can remember Alan staying calm, professional and organised throughout - as well as capturing our happy memories forever! We are very happy with all the results, and everyone has commented on how brilliant the photos are. I really recommend Alan to all future brides in Hampshire!
