I have 25 years experience as a professional photographer. For years family and friends have begged me to photograph their weddings because of the reportage style photographs I produced.

They were natural candid photographs, informal photographs in a relaxed style which captured the essence, the atmosphere and the fun of the wedding day. In the 21st century that style of wedding photography is now very fashionable, but it's how I have always photographed weddings.......
Guests are always amazed at how fast I work, but editorial photographers have always worked fast. Any formal photographs can be completed within 10 minutes - mum and gran always like some traditional images as it's often the only time families get together - it is a day of record for them.... so I'm happy to provide!
There's no hanging about waiting for the photographer, dying for a drink, wishing that you were elsewhere, hanging about for hours on end while 'the photographer' performs ...
I'm a bit more professional than many of the 'wedding' photographers you may have come across! I try to accomodate all budgets and offer total flexibility if you want creative professional wedding photography.

Who needs OK Magazine?
When looking for a wedding photographer in the early stages of planning our big day at Crathorne Hall we had been made aware of some nightmare scenarios by friends and family.
Our closest friends had all their wedding photographs 'lost' by their photographer.
Several others asked their guests for photographs as they were not happy with the professional ones.
This, combined with deciding not to have a professional videographer made our decision for a professional photographer even more vital.
Looking on the internet we found Dirk’s website site and were impressed immediately.
The photos where professional, natural and flattering.
With this we made an immediate appointment to see Dirk, he made every effort to meet our needs and travelled some distance for the meeting.
Beforehand, we still had some reservations due to the magnitude of the decision. On meeting Dirk these were soon dismissed. Dirk put us, and both sets of parents at ease, impressing everyone with his work, wide range of styles and more importantly his enthusiasm.
We immediately decided to use Dirk’s skills and booked him for engagement photos, which were fantastic.
We chose a package and decided on two photographers for the morning. This was accommodated by Dirk, and his associate Louise was also booked for the big day.
Our wedding day was fantastic and Dirk’s professionalism and realism made this possible.
Hours of standing around doing set photographs were not our, or our guest’s idea of fun - or Dirk's!! He was able to capture natural photos that amaze us and yet still has the family and friends shots that are a necessity - but in a relaxed manner!
Dirk was spoken about with great warmth by all our guests.
The photographs were posted on his website next day by 3pm - he had been up all night editing them - and all our friends and family commented on the quality and accessibility.
This was especially important to those who could not make it, some from overseas.
Our Wedding Album is breathtaking, the quality is beyond belief, we will look back on our special day thanks to Dirk's masterpiece.
Dirk is professional, he is a funny, enthusiastic and a genuinely good bloke.
So much so, we will, and have recommended Dirk to friends and family, some have already booked his excellent services...."
