There was more than a touch of Big Apple glamour to Ashley and Dave’s stylish Wiltshire wedding. Not only did they book a fabulous yellow, black and white New York Cab for the wedding transport, Ashley also fell for the very same shoes that Sarah Jessica Parker wore for her wedding in the ‘Sex and the City’ film – a fabulous pair of Manolo Blahniks – just one of the three pairs of blue shoes that Ashley wore at different points during the day.

Such high style contrasted beautifully with the timeless backdrop of Old Wardour Castle, which American born Ashley found via the English Heritage website when she  was researching the wedding from ‘across the pond’. She explains ‘I wanted something historical and incredible in England.’

They kept the day itself small and intimate, with just 30 guests who all stayed in the beautiful old coaching inn, The Lamb Inn at Hindon, where they held the reception. Centre stage was the beautiful white and yellow cake, decorated with daffodils – in keeping with their black, white and yellow theme – and totally appropriate for a wedding held on St David’s Day.
