The Vineyard Spa: A Review

spaThe Vineyard has always had a first class reputation for its cuisine and guest rooms, and its Spa does not disappoint even the most discerning guests. The hotel is just to the west of Newbury, Berkshire, minutes from the M4 and A34.

Facilities

The spa consists of a large round glass-walled wet area, with a pool, spa bath, relaxation areas and a seating area for light refreshments. There is also a garden area for warmer days. A circular staircase leads down to a small changing room, sauna, steam room and four treatment rooms including a double room so that two people can receive treatments at the same time. 

Our experience

mealThe spa has a wonderfully light, calm, relaxing feeling. The glass walls and very high domed ceiling give the impression you are in an open space, and the spa is very cleverly lit.

The treatments are very good, and are carried out in tastefully decorated rooms. All of the staff were polite and attentive throughout the day.

Not surprisingly, the lunch included on the spa day packages is excellent. We had a light but delicious lunch, followed by an indulgent dessert, all served in a Japanese style box.

We would particularly recommend The Vineyard Spa to those looking for a peaceful, refined experience: brides with their mother or bridesmaid, rather than as a larger group experience.
