How can a Civil Celebrant help you to have your dream wedding anywhere?

Beautiful BeachMany travel companies have been successfully arranging weddings abroad for a long time, but what if the location you require is not licensed for foreign weddings like Egypt or The Maldives?

A civil celebrant will work with you to write and design a bespoke wedding service that will include everything that you want from your ceremony. Your ceremony can take place at your dream location, and you can be safe in the knowledge that you will have met and worked with the celebrant who will conduct your service.

Most hotels have beautiful gardens where a ceremony can be held and can easily cater for an evening meal afterwards for you and your guests. Or you could just walk down to a beach as the sun begins to set and have your romantic service conducted, with a few close friends or family.

We don’t have to tell you the advantages of an oversees wedding, Location, Weather, Accommodation, Catering, Honeymoon all in one perfect package for you and your guests, bookable in one place, the travel agents or online.

So what should you do if you are considering this idea!!!

Firstly find a celebrant, the easiest way to do this is look on Guides for Brides to see if they have any listed first, then you can type in celebrant on Google or a search engine and maybe narrow your search by typing in a county e.g.; Norfolk.

When you find a celebrant, check their website for testimonials if they have them, it is always advisable to go with recommendations but you should listen to your instincts as well, when you contact the celebrant they should be someone that you find it easy to talk to, after all you are going to be working together on one of the most important days of your lives. Discuss your ceremony ideas; ask about their ideas, costs involved and of course, most importantly availability for your date. You can then arrange a time to meet if this is logistically possible and begin to plan your ceremony.

The legalities will need to be completed in a register office in this country. You will need to attend with two witnesses and state in front of a registrar that you are legally free to marry and you will need to sign the register. You do not have to exchange rings or vows, but your celebrant will be happy to advise you regarding this.

Of course there might be somewhere in this country, a castle, a beach, Aunt Lucy’s garden that would be your ideal location, a celebrant would be happy to perform your ceremony ALMOST anywhere.

I hope this article has inspired you to have your dream wedding somewhere different!!!

Health and Happiness to you both……
