Hair and Make up in hampshire

I am looking for recommendations for a hair dresser and a make up artist to come to the house for my summer wedding just outside of Portsmouth in Hampshire, if anyone knows of anyone tried and tested please let me know

It is really hard to find someone who is good at both AND will come to your house and I am speaking from experience!! The trouble is that unless they are wedding specialists they are always busy with their other clients on a Saturday.

I too am getting married in Hampshire, not too far from you by the sounds of it and have really struggled, I have met a couple of hair and make up ladies but they are not only expensive but never remember me when I meet them which I appreciate they meet a lot of ladies but when you have been in constant communication. So after all this, I have now decided that I am getting taught by Debenhams/John Lewis on how to do my make up for the day (which is free of charge) and I have chosen a hair salon that will do my hair the morning of the wedding even though my wedding starts at 12 noon...eeek, the hair dressers are willing to do a free hair trial when I next have my hair highlighted. If you want any help or advice please feel free to get in touch. x

im using torri harris i cant give you reviews on her performance as my trial isnt till august but she s been very helpful and quick to respond to emails with reasonable rates and i think she covers hampshire.

good luck, finding hair/makeup is one of the hardest parts of wedding planning i think!

I completely understand how hard it is to find the perfect artist .I would personally highly recommend Mandy Dhillon who is a celebrity hair & makeup artist who also works for t.v & she doesnt charge you an arm & a leg! I have never come across anyone who has not liked her services or the quality of her work. Iv had her do my makeup on a lot fo occasions , also handelled her admin work so iv seen first hand how good her work is & how much people like her. She's also a skincare specialist which is a massive bonus iv found , she always gives you lots of tips and advice. A lot of woman like to learn how to apply makeup on themselves from her also.

You guys should check out her website for yourself , she has reviews from customers & i know if you ask she'll supply you with pictures of real clients too.
