Annoying VAT

Hi there, I plan on getting married in July 2013 and have found a fantastic wedding venue but was disappointed that they refuse to include VAT in all the services they provide. This includes facility fee, accomodation, and food. Everything basically! Is this normal as we had quotes from others we liked that were inclusive of VAT?! Do we seriously have to wait until the VAT rate is announced before they add another few thousand on to our bill?

The venue should give you a quote that has the net price and the VAT noted seperately. Hopefully, the VAT rate will go down between now and 2013 but who knows!
