Photography and venues! (1 reply)

Hello ladies,

I have got engaged just before Christmas and have just realised just how much I have to organise and sort out!!

The two main things I need to set is my venue and photographer. I used to do photography at university so a venue being photographer friendly and the photographer themselves are very important to me!!

I am currently looking at Eynsham Hall and also Weston Manor hotel as a venue, does anyone have any experience with either of these venues with regards to how relaxed they are when it comes to this element, and also just generally how they are with helping you plan your wedding there?

The photographer I am currently looking at is Sharmaine Sepehr Photography, found through here. She seems to have a reasonable priced package and also a free studio included in her packages for the evening. Has anyone booked her before, or had an evening studio before? I like the style of her work so the studio in the evening would be a massive bonus =)

Is there anything I should make sure that I ask before booking a venue or photographer? I don't want to forget to ask something and then something goes wrong!!

Any advice/input would be fantastic!

Thanks so much,

Tia

The details is the contract are incorrect and not what we discussed so I have emailed them asking why and if they can send out the correct information but they still haven't got back to me?? I am starting to regret putting the deposit down on this venue as they take so long to reply and feel like they didnt even listen to what I requested for my wedding (i.e drinks package, food choice, number of guests etc)

What I really want to know is can I cancel my booking and get the full deposit back as I have not yet signed anything (the deposit was paid on a credit card) If I can then where do I start.....

Thanks

Jo

Soul/Funk Bands in Buckinghamshire? (4 replies)

Hi,

Wondering if anyone can help?!

We're looking for a soul/funk band to play at our wedding in Burnham, Buckinghamshire in September 2012. Ideally looking for a resonably local band - has anyone got any recommendations?

We've been advised by the venue to try and find a local band so that they can set up prior to the wedding breakfast to save a long gap where guests have to leave the room after dinner so the band can set up. Has anyone got any thoughts on this, am I likely to be able to find a band prepared to set up earlier in the day?

Thanks!
