The Oxford Union Wedding Venue
An undiscovered secret in the heart of Oxford
About The Oxford Union
An undiscovered secret in the heart of Oxford. Host your wedding in our world-famous Debating Chamber, one of the largest venues in central Oxford. Fully accessible with a capacity of 200 for a drinks reception & up to 120 for a wedding breakfast.
Over the past two centuries, the Union has played host to some of the world’s greatest politicians and celebrities and has frequently found itself under the media spotlight. It would be impossible to name all the famous and influential figures that have passed through our doors – Winston Churchill, Malcolm X, Mother Teresa, Michael Jackson, Morgan Freeman and Johnny Depp to name a few who have contributed to the building’s fascinating history.
For more imitate weddings, the Macmillan Room, with its stunning views of the Debating Chamber and courtyard can host wedding breakfasts for between 30 and 65 guests. The Gladstone Room, the venue for the weekly President’s Drinks can host receptions of up to 65 guests whilst The Goodman Library can accommodate up to 110 guests for a drinks reception.
We create bespoke wedding packages especially for you to make your union at the Oxford Union extra special.
