Essendon Country Club Wedding Venue

YES! You are guaranteed to be the only wedding taking place with us at Essendon. The Clubhouse will remain open for golfers and public on the day but you will have a separate entrance, restrooms and bar throughout the whole day and evening to ensure complete privacy for you and your guests.

Yes we are licenced for civil ceremonies in our beautiful barn.

Sadly, we are not licenced to hold civil ceremonies outdoors. We do however have a lovely, light and airy conservatory with a stunning view of the terrace and golf course that can make you feel outside!

Yes, we do offer the option of corkage – this is permitted on Wines, Sparkling Wines and Champagnes only. Wine and Sparkling wine is charged at £20.00 per bottle and Champagnes are charged at £25.00 per bottle.

We do not allow outside catering at the property. Your Wedding Cake is an exception to this; however this cannot be used as your dessert.

Access to the venue on the day of your wedding is anytime from 7am.

Our license for your private bar and entertainment ends at midnight. There is the option to extend the license until 1am for an extra charge of £250.00

As our venue is surrounded by 400-acres of land, noise restrictions aren't too much of a problem! :)

Yes. They must be booked through our approved and certified firework company and must take place before 10pm.

We do allow confetti to be thrown outside but must be biodegradable.

Candles are permitted but they must be contained within a suitable candle holder twice the size of the candle to ensure no open flames.

We do have a dressing room available for the Bride and Bridesmaids to prepare in the morning - this room is then yours for the whole day. The hire charge for this suite is £250.00 and our ladies / gents changing rooms can be used for shower facilities if required.

Yes. You will be invited for a complimentary menu tasting prior to your final details meeting. You will be able to choose one starter, one main course and one dessert each to try. You are welcome to bring along family or friends to the tasting however, if they would like to try additional dishes they will be chargeable.

Yes, your guests are welcome to park in our main car park and leave cars overnight to collect the following morning (Before 12noon) if they are staying nearby.
