Providing beautiful carriages and well trained horses for weddings and other special occasions, The Cavalry of Heroes is run by Marc and Catherine, whose friendly experienced professionalism will help you feel relaxed and content on your big day knowing that you will have a wonderful horse and carriage ride to look forward to.
Marc's previous carriage driving experience includes driving carriages for HRH The Queen at Buckingham Palace so you are in safe hands! Their collection of carriage can seat between 2 and 8 people and we work with your photographer to help capture the best moments of your time together.
Marc, Catherine and their family of horses can offer carriage rides that can take you from your starting address to the ceremony and then to the reception. Also a stunning arrival at the reception if the distance you need to travel is too far or will take too long. Alternatively, if you don't need to travel at all and your ceremony and reception are at the same venue, they offer a romantic interlude carriage ride.
If you would prefer to arrive on horseback, they have stunning film horses that you can make your big entrance on and if you have a medieval theme, they can even provide an escort of knights on decorated horses to add that royal experience to your day!

For horseback arrivals, horse show entertainment and multiple wedding carriages we cover the whole of the uk. For single wedding carriages we operate within 75 miles of Hay-on-Wye, Herefordshire.
No cars :) except the original cars! Horse drawn carriages from large 4 wheel landaus and coaches, to country wagons and small governess carts.

Yes, we can travel a maximum of 6 miles in the horse and carriage. Our carriages seat between 2 and 6 passengers.
We have decorations available including ribbons, just married signs and plumes and covers for the horses. Just let us know your colour theme if you would like. Flowers are an option to decorate the front of the carriage and horses manes (we can't supply the flowers, but if you let us know in advance and get the horses to our HQ we'll put them on the carriage for you :) )
We have a variety of livery options, from top hats and coachman cloaks, to country tweed and bowlers, to fully armoured medieval knights!
Yes, we have glasses available in the carriage
We ask for a 20% deposit upon booking to secure your date, which is refundable if you cancel your booking with more than 6 months remaining to your big day. With less than 6 months remaining your deposit is non refundable and if you cancel your booking with less than one month remaining please note that the full amount of your booking will be due. We recommend couples take out wedding insurance just in case the unforeseen happens (fingers crossed you won't have to use it!)
The horses can travel a maximum of 6 miles and we cover around 1 mile every 10 minutes.
If the conditions mean that we aren't able to get to you because of snow, or the conditions are too icy or severe for the horses, we will endeavour with your permission to secure you a car for your journey so that you are not stuck. And as extreme weather is something we can't predict, we'll refund your payment in full minus the cost of the car (agreed to with your permission).
