Where better to start than Sydney, where we found a great little reception venue on the edge of the quay between The Sydney Opera House and Sydney's iconic bridge; Peter Doyle @ The Quay.
With weddings starting at $21,000 (approximately £13000) you would want to be sure that there isn't a cruise ship docked at the quay on your wedding day, blocking your view of the Opera House.
This is also the venue of choice for the England cricket team who will be spending New Year's Eve here, with a perfect view of the fireworks on Sydney Harbour Bridge.
