A creepy colour scheme
A Halloween wedding doesn't have to mean plastic skeletons and fake blood at every turn! If you're looking for a more elegant alternative, then a lot can be done with clever colour theming. Choose classic black and orange, spooky shades of purple and green, or rich jewel tones with plenty of black for a wedding theme that feels classic rather than clunky.Â
Pumpkins, pumpkins, pumpkins!
One of the easiest way to integrate Halloween into your October wedding is to use pumpkins wherever possible - whether it's carved pumpkins as wedding decor, painted mini pumpkins as table centres, pumpkin lanterns outside or pumpkin in the menu as part of the food and drink. A dessert table is a fantastic place to make the most of a spooky theme, either with fun Halloween desserts (tombstone cupcakes or eyeball cake pops, anyone?) or simply colour theming your table.Â
Guests in fancy dress
If you're fully embracing the Halloween theme, then forgo the traditional wedding dress code and ask your guests to arrive in fancy dress! It'll make for an amazing set of wedding photos, as well as a fun atmosphere for the reception.
