Are you looking to do something different this Valentines? Are you saving up for your big day? Here are 7 romantic ideas for a Valentines Day that won't break the bank.

Cosy night in - Get romantic in front of a fire with a glass of wine and notepad! What better day of the year to draft those wedding vows. It is also a great chance to listen to some love songs and decide on your first dance. Or, if you're sick of wedding planning - ban the wedding talk and watch your favourite movie.

Get baking - Get messy in the kitchen!  Even if cooking is not your forte, follow a basic recipe and bake some brownies or muffins.  Although many couples disagree in the kitchen, cooking can be a great team building experience which is bound to end in some laughs.

Get your skates on - If you want to get active this Valentines, why not go ice skating.  If you're feeling stressed from all that wedding planning, some carefree skating will definitely take your mind of it.

Recreate the first date - Remember your first date in the local cinema and milkshake parlour? Why not step back in time and relive those memories. Whether it be the actual place you went or just the activity you did, recreating an old memory can create some nostalgic romance.  Remembering how you fell in love and why you're getting married is very important during the stress of wedding planning!

Go Camping (in your living room) - If you don't fancy the outdoors, why not set up camp in your living room or bedroom.  Build a den, snuggle up in your sleeping bags and replace stars with some fairy lights!  Toast s'mores and make hot chocolate for the ultimate indoor camping experience.

The spa weekend: If you want to push the budget, then a spa weekend is an affordable getaway. Creating the perfect set up for some quality time, enjoy a weekend of massages, swimming, golf and wine.  Look around for spa offers, many of which include spa treatments, dinner and accommodation for a set price.  If you're looking for a rural retreat, The Bishopstrow Hotel is a great country escape.
