The reputable designer Alvin Loy, “specialises in innovative Haute Couture pieces and avant-garde bridal gowns.” “Haute Couture” is a French phrase, with “haute” meaning elegant. The brand is unique, and has been subject to much admiration from fellow industry specialists who have been inspired by his work. Having travelled to fashion capitals of the world including London, Milan, Paris and New York, Alvin has achieved a grounded understanding of fashion. Designing gowns for the Royal family and famous celebrities, he is not short of an excellent reputation.
The collection was inspired by Alvin Loy and Eva Siu’s shared passion for Haute Couture bridal wear. After a visit to Zhongshan headquarters in China, Alvin became inspired by the eco-vision of their factory. He started to explore the juxtaposition of nature and fashion which he then injected into his designs. The opulent tones and elaborate embroidery within the collaborative collection, hint at luxury and complexity. Alvin Loy for SIU Haute Collection is an exploration into structure, form, texture and femininity with an intricate floral and butterflies theme, punctuated by vibrant turquoise and shimmering gold.
Guides for Brides are off to Kensington Gardens on 27th November for a champagne reception and full preview of Alvin’s SIU Haute Couture Collection. Alvin Loy will unveil his new designs, which we will be eagerly blogging about in due course!
