Inspired by Lewis Carroll's timeless novels, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, we have come up with some quirky ideas that can transform a classical wedding into a wedding wonderland! To incorporate the Alice in Wonderland theme it would be a great idea to host the ceremony and reception outside so choose a venue that has lots of garden space, marquee and trees that can be decorated. For the reception host a Mad Hatters tea party by serving, aromatic teas, classy cocktails, sandwiches and cute cupcakes which have tags that say eat me on them, this will definitely go down a treat with your guests.

To decorate the marquee, hang fairy lights and bunting and why not create a chandelier made of glass jar lanterns and tea cups which would create a magical atmosphere. For your table centrepieces, use vintage books, teacups, silver jugs, sheet music and tiny white rabbits which can be gathered from op-shops and flea markets. Hang playing cards and fairy lights from the trees at different heights and angles to create an eerie effect which would look great in the evening.  To find the perfect Alice in Wonderland inspired dress check vintage stores as they don’t have to be expensive and remember you can always personalise it yourself, the more vintage the better!

There are a lot of wonderful clever cake makers out there that can help you create an Alice in Wonderland inspired wedding cake so a great idea to use is a quirky but elegant cake which is covered in delicate pastel flowers and on top a teapot with flowers spilling out from it. Hopefully, these unique ideas have made you jump down the rabbit hole of inspiration and helped you channel the fantasy vibe so get creating!
